I wanted to briefly update you on a funny discussion, which took place on 5/19/2009, I showed some friends the famous kit; seeing the tablets of lightweight balsa and foam shapes in the unanimous comment was:
- never to
- but if you clash with a fly falls apart
and so on. The funny thing is
the aeronautical knowledge of these added together are the '1% of the mine, but were confident of what they said (instead of asking an explanation from me).
serious consideration is that what they see as a flaw for me is an honor, given that a certain piece should have a certain strength, calculated by the designer, this robustness must be achieved with less weight and can not overcome, because the robustness the inevitable pay too much in terms of weight.
Conclusion: this piece, (the rudder), to be built with materials so light, (and apparently fragile), is an honor for me and obviously then the considerations of robustness should be done on the piece done, not on the components to be assembled.
Hello everyone.
